Do not fear Our God is here!

Updated: Jan 9, 2020

"How could you worship two gods at the same time? You will have to hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't worship the God while enslaved to the god of money!" Matthew 6:24 TPT

This is what Jesus said to his disciples during his sermon on the mountain side. Later Judas would go on to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silvers. Equivalent to roughly $3,000 in today's economy, Judas sold Jesus's life. We can not allow money to have ruling in our life. God will provide, Judas experienced God's glory and was there to see Jesus's miracles and yet he still sold his life for 30 pieces of silver. When you allow something else to govern you, you remove room for God to make miracles in your life.

"This is why I tell you to not worry about everyday life- whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?" Matthew 6:25-26 NLT

I feel this teaching is just as important today as ever. We live in society driven around money, but all to often we get caught up and forget God will provide us with all we need and more. When we allow God to step in and be every aspect of our life, we step into his favor.

For you bless the godly, O LORD; you surround them with your shield of love. Psalm 5:12 NLT

"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6: 33-34 NLT

God will provide as he provided Moses and the Israelites in the desert. Fear is not a feeling from God, fear is something that separates us from God. Allow God to have total rule over your life and God will take total care of our needs and provide abundantly.
