Catch what God has for your life.

Updated: Jan 9, 2020

God has a plan and purpose for each one of our lives. Don’t miss what He has for each one of us. The plans He has may vary, each one of us have different calling, gifts and natural talents.

There is a difference between gifts of God and natural talents. The gifts of God are freely given as God determines on a individuals life, in contrast with natural talents that are naturally or inborn for a specific activity, either allowing them to demonstrate some immediate skill without practice, or to be able to gain skill rapidly with minimal practice.

God never sells anything, that means a gifts He gives is a present. God's gifts are always given to men and women as gifts. As long as they want it, it will be given to them. Gifts are never forced on us by the Holy Spirit.

A spiritual gift is a God-given ability, distributed to individual Christians by the Holy Spirit that allows him/or her to work through their lives to help the church execute its mission on earth.

Natural talents are physical abilities to do special things. Some natural talents might be musical, carpentry, mechanics, administration, or artistic abilities, and many more.

Spiritual gifts are spiritual abilities to do certain things. Natural talents are often the vehicle through which spiritual gifts can be used.

For example, a Christian singer may have the spiritual gift of evangelism, healing, or prophecy being expressed through their musical talent.

Aaron Niequist said so powerfully, “God has given a spiritual gift to the church in you, and you dare not keep it to yourself.”

So whatever your natural or spiritual gifts may be, use them for the glory of God, so that His Kingdom will be blessed and strengthened.

Amy Carmichael once said,

"Give me the love that leads the way, the faith that nothing can dismay, the hope no disappointments tire, the passion that will burn like fire; Let me not sink to be a clod: Make me Thy fuel, Flame of God."

May the passion of the Holy Spirit be poured out on your life like fresh oil and the fire of the Holy Spirit burn deep and bright for all the world to see.
